Added and Modified Features:
– Boot Authentication: Boot authentication is now added. This is a feature that allows the TeraStation to be authenticated by an authentication server as the TeraStation boots up.
Notes:
– To use boot authentication, a Windows PC is required to serve as the authentication server. The application “Boot Authentication Tool for TeraStation” needs to be installed on the PC.
– If the Boot Authentication Tool database is erased, the TeraStation using boot authentication will become inaccessible. Make sure to back up the database file.
Bug Fixes
– Settings: Fixed a bug where Settings could not be accessed.
– Services: Fixed a bug where a music file saved on the folder that contains a space in its folder name was not detected if the folder was used as a iTunes public folder.
– WebAccess: Fixed a bug where WebAccess did not work properly if the WebAccess settings were configured to use UPnP.
– System: Fixed a bug where the “Size on disk” of files on the TeraStation was displayed larger than the actual size on Windows 8.1 or later.
– System: Fixed a bug where the I18 message did not disappear when the TeraStation was restarted while rebuilding the RAID array.
– Network: Fixed a bug where unnecessary response packets were sent when searching for the device using UPnP.
Before updating the firmware:
– Do not turn off the TeraStation until the firmware update is complete and the “finished” message is displayed.
– USB drives may not be mounted automatically after updating the firmware. To mount them, unplug and then reconnect them.
– Disconnect iSCSI volumes with the iSCSI Initiator before updating the firmware.
– Make sure the TeraStation’s Ethernet frame size is smaller than the hub or router’s. Larger frame sizes may not transfer the data to the TeraStation correctly.
– If an external USB drive is configured as a target for TeraStation backup, the drive should be formatted with ext3, XFS, or FAT32. Do not use an NTFS-formatted drive as a backup target or unexpected behavior may result.
– If a “Replication I33 ReplicateFailure” error occurs, navigate to ‘Backup’ – ‘Replication’ and click ‘Run Differential Backup’.
– If a “I33 ReplicateFailure” replication error occurs, navigate to ‘Backup’ – ‘Replication’ – ‘Edit Failover Status’ and click ‘Sync’.
