Firmware Release Notes
New Features
– The “Log In” GUI page now has a “Device Status” button to allow quick access to common configuration and connection information.
– Support of GUID Partition Table (GPT) USB drives has been added.
– “Quality of Service”, “Media”, and “Advanced” sections are now available on the “Advanced Wireless Extender Wi-Fi” page for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios.
Firmware Changes
– The “NAT ALG” table has been updated to remove unsupported items.
– An end-user will no longer received an error message when attempting to change the LAN IP Address to “192.168.5.1”.
– Apostrophes can now be used in the “Description” field when setting up Rules under “Parental Control”.
– An intermittent issue in which the SBR would reboot when a USB drive was disconnected has been resolved.
– A “Parental Control” Rule which spans midnight can now be created.
– Changing a “Parental Control” Rule’s time from “PM” to “AM” will no longer cause an error message to be issued.
– “Cloud” and “Manual” firmware upgrade verbiage is now consistent.
– The “Traceroute” utility will now perform name resolution.
– Missing/incorrect Spanish translations have been resolved.
Upgrade Firmware:
– Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box and press the Enter key. The Login page appears.
NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1. If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.
– On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
Enter password in the Password field.
Click the Login button. The Home page appears.
– Move the mouse-cursor over the Status tab and select the Router Upgrade sub-link. The Status – Router Upgrade page appears.
On the Status – Router Upgrade page, click the Choose File button. The Choose File to Upload box appears.
– On the Choose File to Upload box, click on Desktop to select the firmware file. Click the Open button. The Status – Router Upgrade page returns.
– On the Status – Router Upgrade page, click the Upload button. The Alert pop-up window appears.
– On the Alert pop-up window, click the OK button to continue with the firmware upgrade.
– The hour glass symbol appears below.
CAUTION: The router may be unresponsive to commands for 3 minutes. Please do not turn off or reboot the router during this time.
– The router will begin updating the firmware. Please allow up to few minutes for the router to update the firmware.
WARNING: Do not interrupt or unplug the router, doing so could render the router inoperable.
– On the Alert window, click the OK button to continue the firmware upgrade.
– Once the router completes the firmware upgrade the Login page appears.
