My friend has a dvd player avh-x2850bt. it is not recognizing or running some videos both in the same EX format: type mp4 some play some others didn not, I went to divx home theater and it didn't work, if it has been updated this happens?

Let me know how I can update it. I would like to update firmware.
Current version is 08.18.
