Hello!

i have a problem with my seagate 2 tb external hard drive. I wish you can help me solve it.

The problem:

My hard drive is not recognized on the desktop (when I access the workstation).
It is not recognized either in disk management except once where it was recognized as unallocated but for a very small time then it disappeared.
On the other hand, when I access the icon next to (the time and the one for choosing the language) I find it indicating (eject expansion); the same when I access devices and printers I find it but without any information.

What I tried:
i tried to connect it with 4 other pc but no success.
I have changed the USB cable them times but still no success.
my pc informs me that all the drivers have no days.
It is not recognized in the bios.
One more note when I plug it in it makes the pc slow down.

I am using windows 7 ultimate 64 bits.

Thank you in advance.

Hello!

Try to remove your external hdd and connect it directly to your PC (as second/third HDD).
It will remove potencial external case problems.

Ivan,

I had same problem with external Seagate drive.

It was the problem with external hdd case. Without it disk works fine. Now it has about 72.000+ hours.
