Mouse doesn't work with laptop

Hello!
I've my friend's laptop and I have next problem - Mouse doesn't work with it.
I tried :
- change USB port.
- update mouse drivers.
- windows update (I had nothing new to do there).
- uninstall the mouse then reinstall via the device manager.
- disconnect everything switch off the pc wait 15 min then restart reconnect the charger and the mouse.
and still nothing so if you have a solution whatsoever I am interested.
