Dell XPS M 1730 Wi-Fi Card IP Address Problem

Hello,
For some time, my friend's laptop Dell XPS M 1730 is causing problems, and now every month, I have to troubleshoot using Windows my internet connection.
As a result of each troubleshooting, this is written: "the wi-fi card does not have a valid IP address" would there be any manipulation or anything that I could attempt or do to resolve this problem.
On the other hand, I wonder how long does this Windows's troubleshooting can continue?
