Terratec Grabby Usb 2.0 Drivers for Windows 10

Post by archi »

Hello,

I would like to put the VHS tape product on DVD or USB stick with Terratec Grabby Usb 2.0 that I got from my friend, the problem is that I have a mac or a laptop with Windows 10 and it doesn't work. The Mac tells me, but on Windows, it doesn't tell me anything. It would seem that the drivers and the software installs, but after it tells me that it is obsolete.

Can you tell me if I can somehow use it in either of my computers ??

I have an old computer with vista, but I think this one is too old but I haven't tried.

In any case, I thank you in advance for your answers.

Archi, hello!

It sounds like pretty old device.
Let's see what will Roza say.

To resolve your Terratec Grabby problem, try this procedure:

1) Go to: Terratec Official Site

Download and install (I installed both and don't know which one is the right one)
Win 10 Treiber 64bit (drivers)
Win 10 Treiber 32bit (drivers)

2) Go to: http://terratec.ultron.info/Video/Grabs ... ates/rev3/

Download and install (I installed both and don't know which one is the correct one)
grabby_rev3_x64.exe
grabby_rev3_x86.ex

Once installed, MAGIX software still did not see the Grabby "BUT"
strangely, I saw that the VLC player saw it, we could record but problem
the image was desperately black and white despite the settings offered.

Then:
VLC -> Media -> Open Capture Device
Capture mode: "DirectShow"
Video device name: "Terratec"
Audio device name: "Terratec"
"Read"

Remained part is to find a FREE capture software: it could be VIRTUALDUB
https://www.virtualdub-fr.org/telechargement (official site)

I downloaded and installed: VirtualDub v1.9.6 (good quality .avi output format)
(on the site there are also additional entry drivers to download if necessary)

Basically the software is configured for "Secam L" VHS tapes of size "720 x 480" (4/3)
If you connect a camera in principle in PAL, you have to go to the menu
VIDEO -> Capture control -> "PAL 60" size "720 x 406" if it is 16/9

FYI, this software includes many settings and filters,
On the net there are many tutorials for his job.

Hoping to have solved your problem, because personally I struggled with all the solutions
more or less fanciful that one can find.
