Hello everyone!
I have a microphone and an external sound card focusrite scarlett 2i2.
I would like to be able to record with audacity but the software cannot find the microphone.
Apparently it is windows which does not recognize the microphone while the computer recognizes the scarlett 2i2 (in bluetooth devices and others).
Drivers seem up to date.
When I am in the sound control panel and in the recording tab I chose to display everything and can't see scarlett.
In the control panel then hardware and audio and finally in peripherals and printers, by right clicking on the scarlett to display the properties and in the hardware tab a message tells me that the scarlett is working properly, from there I look the pilots, launched a search and obviously everything is ok.
I'm lost in all this, could someone help me?
Sound card Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 - How to enable microfone?
Hello!
I have already seen in this category of ultra-cheap microphones, models that work either with a + 48V power supply by XLR or with a + 5V polarization by minijack (for use with a multimedia sound card). There is then an internal switch to choose the right power supply voltage. Obviously, performance is quite severely degraded in 5V mode.
Check it on your microphone.
