My touchpad Synaptics TM2665 no longer works (no more drivers)

Post by fedora »

Good evening everyone,

I'm posting this message regarding my touchpad.

Indeed following an update of windows apparently (I did not realize it at the time), the latter no longer works.

So I tried different solutions:
- First, see if the driver was up to date. It was impossible because the driver simply disappeared! No more touchpad in my device manager!

- So I tried to reinstall a driver. But still nothing.
It is extremely embarrassing.

- Last attempt: a default bios: without success.

(the touchpad is physically connected if the question is there, it is connected by a cable).

FYI, my touchpad is a Synaptics (TM2665 if I'm not mistaken), on an HP Notebook 15 (200 series) with Windows 10.

I am waiting for your information, solutions, advice.

Thank you in advance

Hello!

Well I tried several times ... nothing.

The installation goes well, as for the driver (SP69613) that you installed before?
I'm really starting to wonder about the hardware.
Precisely, I have exactly the same concern as you on 1 laptop, where I know that the Touchpad cable is broken / defective (I disassembled the pc).
I have the same as you in the device manager (Show hidden devices with yellow triangle, and error code 24)
I don't think it's 1 coincidence.
I think you should dismantle the pc to check that the cable is not damaged.
PS: since the drivers install correctly, I only see a hardware problem.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
